Betfred this weekend will launch a major marketing campaign featuring the legendary American ring announcer Michael Buffer.

Betfred’s new ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rumble’ campaign will run across TV and be supported with activity across press, digital and social channels.
The advert celebrates the return of fans to stadiums and showcases Betfred’s extensive sponsorship portfolio which includes partnerships with boxing, rugby league, snooker, darts, and golf.

Betfred British Masters heads back to The Belfry!

It has been confirmed that next years Betfred British Masters will be a repeat of the 2021 edition, hosted by Danny Willet and played at The Belfry, where The Masters title went to veteran pro Richard Bland who was achieving his first ever Tour victory at the age of 48.

The 2022 Masters will take place from Thursday 5th May – Sunday 8th May.

The Betfred British Masters is part of the European Tour and one of the highlights of the British golfing calendar.

First played in 1946 as the Dunlop Masters the event returned to the European Tour schedule in 2015 after a seven-year absence, since when it has been hosted by top British golfers such as Lee Westwood, Tommy Fleetwood, Ian Poulter, and Justin Rose at a course of their choice.

Betfred extend Super League sponsorship

Super League Europe and Betfred have today announced a two-year extension to their existing partnership taking it through to the end of the 2023 season.

The extension of a deal that began ahead of the 2017 season will take the overall partnership to seven years, equalling the longest title partnership in Super League history.

Since the Betfred partnership began, there have been many unforgettable moments in the competition. The 2017 season saw Castleford Tigers overcome St Helens in golden point drama to reach the Grand Final, which saw Leeds Rhinos crowned Champions with Rob Burrow and Danny McGuire registering their eighth Grand Final victory.

The 2018 season saw current England head coach Shaun Wane bow out of his reign at Wigan Warriors with a Grand Final victory at Old Trafford, defeating Warrington Wolves.

Betfred support Take Time To Think campaign

Standards body the Betting and Gaming Council has launched a new campaign aimed at encouraging customers to use the wide range of safer gambling tools offered by its members.

In further evidence of the BGC’s commitment to raising standards, the ‘Take Time To Think’ campaign will replace ‘When The Fun Stops, Stop’ as the regulated industry’s key safer gambling message.

It follows extensive customer research, as well as engagement with academics, Government stakeholders and operators on the most effective way of encouraging responsible betting.

While ‘When The Fun Stops, Stop’ was successful in helping to address problem gambling, the BGC believes ‘Take Time To Think’ will be even more effective by encouraging customers to pause and consider the safer gambling tools operators provide – such as deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion – to help them moderate their play and stay in control.

Betfred extend Challenge Cup sponsorship to include Finals at Tottenham and Wembley

The RFL are delighted to welcome a two-year extension to Betfred’s partnership with the Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair Challenge Cups – which will include an historic Final at the superb Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in May 2022, before a return to Wembley Stadium in 2023.

The 2022 Betfred Challenge Cup Final will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday May 28 – the 121st Challenge Cup Final, marking the 125th anniversary of the first in 1897, and the first to be played in May since St Helens beat Wigan in Cardiff in 2004.

Betferd donate £33,000 to the Stroke Association following the 2021 Betfred World Matchplay

The Stroke Association will benefit from a £33,000 donation from Betfred following their charity activity at the 2021 Betfred World Matchplay.

The nine-day tournament at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens saw 32 players competing to win the Phil Taylor Trophy, which was claimed by Peter Wright in Sunday’s thrilling final.

Alongside the action on the oche, Betfred were raising money for The Stroke Association with a donation of £50 per 180 alongside their Betfred Nine-Dart Charity Challenge.

The tournament featured a total of 301 scores of 180 across 31 games, with runner-up Dimitri Van den Bergh hitting the most by an individual with 49 during his five matches, while Wright posted 41 during his march to the title.

Betfred Group Finalises Purchase Of Betting World (PTY) Ltd

The Betfred Group are pleased to announce that, following negotiations with the administrator of PGL the owner of Betting World, the group has completed the purchase of Betting World (Pty) as of 1 June 2021 and is currently in the process of fulfilling its regulatory requirements in relation to the transfer of shareholding in the company.

Betfred’s Chief Commercial Officer Phil Siers said,

Betfred up for the Cups!

Betfred have secured the Rugby League “Double” for 2021, with a one-year deal to become title sponsors of the Challenge Cup to add to their long-running partnership with the Super League.

It means the Betfred Challenge Cup winners will be crowned at Wembley in July, with the Betfred Super League trophy to be presented at Old Trafford in October.
The deal also includes sponsorship of the Women’s Challenge Cup, completing another double with the Betfred Women’s Super League.
And Betfred will complete an historic Challenge Cup treble in 2021 as they will become the first title partners of the Wheelchair Rugby League Challenge Cup.

All three Challenge Cups are currently held by Leeds Rhinos, whose Men’s team beat Salford Red Devils at Wembley last October to follow the triumphs of their Women’s and Wheelchair teams in 2019.

Betfred will be title sponsor of the Masters for the first time when snooker’s biggest invitation event takes place next week.

The Betfred Masters will run from January 10th to 17th in Milton Keynes, featuring a tremendous field of the world’s top 16 players.

Betfred to partner three England teams in 2021

Betfred are to become an official partner of all three England teams at next year’s Rugby League World Cup, extending their commitment to the sport.

Betfred boss Fred Done joined John Bateman, Emily Rudge and Wayne Boardman – stars of the England Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair teams – to launch the new partnership.

Betfred have been the title sponsors of the Super League since 2017, and their Rugby League portfolio also includes the Championship, League 1 and the Women’s Super League, the latter after a ground-breaking deal announced ahead of the 2019 Grand Final.

The Betfred logo will now appear on the lower back of the jerseys of all three England teams throughout 2021.
