Scoop6 To Smash £800,000 Barrier

There could be more than £800,000 up for grabs in Saturday’s totescoop6, which takes in action from Sandown and Wincanton.
The win fund is on a run of six consecutive rollovers, while the bonus pot hasn’t been emptied since November 26.

The last four legs will be shown live on ITV4 so armchair punters can sit back and enjoy the closing stages of the bet as they target win and bonus funds currently worth £534,080 and £157,342 respectively.

totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: “Scoop6 players are due an upturn in fortunes following a challenging few weeks so it could be the perfect time to play with over £800,000 up for grabs.”

Sandown hosts Saturday’s totejackpot (races 1-6) and the 32Red Veterans’ Handicap Chase (3:00 Sandown) has been selected as the totetrifecta rollover race.

Betfred To Sponsor Crolla-Linares Rematch At Manchester Arena

Anthony Crolla will meet Jorge Linares in a rematch for the WBA, WBC Diamond and Ring magazine World Lightweight titles at the Manchester Arena on March 25th, live on Sky Sports and sponsored by bookie Betfred.

Crolla and Linares met in the same venue for the belts in September with the Venezuelan coming out on top in an enthralling contest, ending the brilliant winning run of Manchester hero ‘Million Dollar’ who claimed the title with a stoppage win over Darleys Perez in November 2015 before destroying dangerous Ismael Barroso in May.

The 30 year old from Moston is delighted to get a second crack at the classy Linares, and believes he’s better placed to regain his title following their first meeting.

“There had been lots of talk on the rematch since the first fight with Jorge so I’m delighted to finally get […]

No Vacation For Scoop6 Punters

A 33/1 success for Colin Tizzard’s Royal Vacation in an eventful Kauto Star Novices Chase at Kempton saw the Scoop6 rollover after just four legs.

A win fund of £387,618 and a bonus fund of £105,034 was up for grabs on a special Boxing Day edition of the popular pool bet.

Earlier on in the afternoon a 12/1 success for Little Bruce, a 7/2 win for the well supported Poker School and a bloodless victory for Definitely Red at 9/2 meant 166 tickets remained at the halfway stage but none had covered the Paddy Brennan ridden 6yo in the Grade One race, perhaps surprisingly considering the yards fine form this season, which means an estimated £750,000 could be up for grabs on New Year’s Day where the ITV camera’s will be showing action from Cheltenham & Musselburgh.

Encore brings curtain down on Scoop6 hopes

The enigmatic Regal Encore triggered a totescoop6 rollover at Ascot this afternoon after he knocked out the 48 tickets still chasing the prize in the fifth leg at odds of 20/1.

The earlier damage had been done by Gino Trail (13/2), Poker School (8/1), Unowhatimeanharry (6/5F) and Yala Enki (3/1F) to send a win pool of £302,483 rolling over to Boxing Day.

The bonus fund was not in play and will kick off with £74,629 in the kitty when the pools reopen after Christmas.

totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: “Regal Encore was a showstopper for all the wrong reasons at Ascot but a potential £500,000 Scoop6 could really get the party started on Boxing Day.”

A total of £145,938 was invested into this afternoon’s pools and there were 160 winners of the £159.60 place dividend.

Betfred Refund Tingle Creek Ante-Post Bets On Douvan

Betfred will be refunding all ante-post stakes placed on Douvan to win the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase after he was not declared for Saturday’s race.
Betfred spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: “In all honesty the Tingle Creek hasn’t been a great advert for ante-post betting.

“Many of our customers have had their fingers burned with the news Douvan will miss the race, and while ante-post betting carries an element of risk, we have decided to refund stakes on this occasion.”

A field of six has been declared for the Grade 1 Chase at Sandown, with Un de Sceaux representing Willie Mullins.

The 2015 Arkle winner is the 7/4 favourite with Betfred, ahead of Ar Mad at 11/4 and Sire de Grugy at 10/3.

Seven Scoop6 Winners Shoot For Massive £314,000 Payout

Seven owners of winning tickets from last weekend’s monster £1m totescoop6 find themselves back in the spotlight on Saturday as they take a shot at landing a further £314,482 in the bonus race.

Each ticketholder banked £98,132 last week as they shared the whopping £686,925 win fund, but could boost their haul to more than £400,000 should they find the winner of the 20-runner Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury.

Among the lucky seven are two pensioner pals from Norfolk whose combined racing nous landed them a share of the win pool after staking just £24 between them.

The pair, who met only four years ago, have booked a VIP table at Newbury tomorrow to soak up the atmosphere and watch the action unfold from the best seat in the house.

Peter Riley, 67, and Richard Delf, 73, will attend the Berkshire racecourse with […]
